INSTRUMENT BRIEF:
Fully automatic distillation unit in accordance with ASTM 2892 method for the distillation of crude oils or cuts with automatic procedure from debutanisation to reduced pressure without any intervention from the operator during each step of the distillation except to remove the prepared fractions at the end of each sequence ( atmospheric step or reduced pressure steps) I.e. about 5 minutes every 3 to 4 hours operation .Unit includes a D2892 column with Multiknit packing and a stainless steel boiling flask, with capacity 2 up to 100 L . This unit can carry out all types of discontinuous distillation of chemical and organic components for boiling temperatures up to 200°C/392°F under atmospheric pressure and also at vacuum down to 1 mmHg which corresponds to an atmospheric equivalent temperature (AET) of 400-452°C/752-845°F.
The complete TBP D2892 distillation can be performed from the debutanisation stage to the Final boiling point within about 15 to 18 hours. All the different sequences are chained automatically .When the next step involves a pressure change, the sample charge flask is automatically cooled to a preset temperature and return to atmospheric pressure, then operator removes full distillate receivers, replaces these with empty ones and approves the continuation of the next step toward FBP .The fractions can be prepared by temperature and / or % volume set points .
The MINIDIST PLUS type E or F process cabinet is a closed cabinet with safety doors for easy access. In Version V6.0 of MINIDIST PLUS type E or F, a built in industrial PC with interface process boards has been implemented in the local process cabinet with a color LCD display and industrial alphanumeric keyboard . No more dedicated interfaces in the supervisor Windows XP Pro PC generally located away from the process cabinet with our GECDIST Net Supervisor Remote software . |

INSTRUMENT BRIEF :
Compared to our other TBP distillation units, the MVD allows complete unattended operation of the distillation from the debutanization fraction to the last fraction under vacuum, This system includes a sophisticated automatic fraction collector for 30 receivers with loading, weighing, and capping operation directly controlled by the PC. In addition, the MVD software records the volatile fraction with a mass flowmeter.
In 1977 GECIL Process introduced the first fully automatic TBP ASTM D2892 distillation system called DISTAM. Since then we have improved the control capability of our TBP distillation units with the MINIDIST PLUS Types E & F and have also introduced the most advanced automatic TBP distillation system: the new MVD design.
The MINIDIST PLUS type MVD is the top of our line of distillation apparatus which includes semi automatic distillation and automatic distillation units MINIDIST PLUS type A, B,C D ,E and F .
MVD means Mass , Volume, Density . The integration of a balance and Volume follower system allows to monitor in real time the weight and volume of each fraction . Consequently the density is calculated and reported automatically . By experience the density reported accuracy is +/- 0.001. It is also possible to measure density of each fraction off line with higher accuracy and input such value in final report .

INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION:
MINIDIST 1160 version V6 is a stand-alone, bench-size unit designed to automatically run vacuum distillation of crude residue and high boiling mineral fractions up to 600°C/1100°F AET in accordance with ASTM D1160. It is the result of more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing such analyzer.
- The MINIDIST 1160 consists of two sections in one compact cabinet :
A process cabinet including all ASTM glassware assembly with double-silvered, jacketed column, 500 ml quartz boiling flask, 200 ml receiver thermostated by hot circulating air in the receiver chamber, vacuum trap, temperature probes, pressure sensor, level follower system to control the volume and the distillation rate, vacuum pump, and water or synthetic oil circulating thermostated bath for the column condenser. All process components are housed in a closed cabinet.
- A computer control embedded PC104 Pentium environment with the latest software generation with color LCD monitor , keypad and label graphic printer. INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION:
The DH 87 unit is specifically designed for crude evaluation laboratories to remove water from raw crude samples prior to performing TBP ASTM D2892 distillations. Allowing the quantification of the water content and a safe operation for the TBP glassware .
The complete process is housed in a single closed cabinet and includes the following components:
6 liter double-jacketed sample charge vessel; thermostated circulating baths with digital display; stainless steel filtered pipe to prevent contaminant damage to the dosing pump; electronic controlled injection dosing pump; and stainless steel thermostated reactor to progressively vaporize the sample and recover the dehydrated sample by isothermic reaction. |

A high temperature thermostated bath controls the reactor temperature up to 200°C. Several sample fractions are recovered by utilizing a 4 liter dehydrated sample vessel; 2 liter double-jacketed decantation vessel; and set of debutanization traps.

INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION: |
The titration of asphaltenes content of petroleum products is generally determined in accordance with ASTM D3275, IP143 or NFT 60115 standards by precipitation with n-heptane. These methods are very time consuming and difficult to handle for samples from hydrotreatment or visbreaking processes.

Normally with such methods, determinations below 0.5% asphaltenes content are impossible. Also for determinations above 0.5%, the repeatability and reproducibility are very poor respectively 10% and 20%.
Our ASPHAN 02 analyzer, designed by TOTAL ELF Research, improves the characteristics of the ASTM D3275 , IP143 and NFT 60115 methods in respect to:
